Been to Beijing several years ago. Didn't like it.
Went to Shanghai 2 weeks ago and spent 10 days there. Love it. 
China has indeed evolved a lot over these years. I am impressed.
What about the melamine-tainted products? I still have my reservations.
Next pit stop, Hong Kong. =)
